Thomas Avery is about 6'6" tall, with a better-than-athletic build, and light-to medium tan. He weighs in at about 230lbs. He has a multitude of small scars across his body from bomb shrapnel, and a hole in his chest where a backwater doctor had to implant an electromagnet. He has no tattoos, and no other distinguishing marks. He usually keeps a well groomed, close-trimmed mustache and a little bit of beard shadow.
Personality: Thomas Avery is a CEO and loving it. He lives the life of a rich playboy in the daytime, running a company that used to compete with Wayne Industries for military contracts. He loves women, fast cars, vicious animals, and building engines from scratch in his free time. He used to be very charismatic, voicing the belief that the best weapon is one you only have to use once. He is still charismatic, but believes that weapons are nothing but tools of destruction, and the use of them should be avoided whenever possible. He is not a pacifist, and will kill if necessary, but prefers to use non-lethal, though technically sadistic, weapons. Yes, he does enjoy watching his targets writhe in pain.

Background: Thomas Avery was born into wealth. His father was CEO of Avecorp, a leading manufacturer of heavy military ordinance and technology, mostly ordinance. They also made gun mods and accessories that saved hundreds of lives, but also made taking them easier. Thomas took apart a clock and put it back together when he was six, and by the time he turned 12, had built his first engine. He received homeschooling from his mother, and graduated high school at fourteen before starting online college courses, focusing on business. When he was 15, his mother died, followed two years later by his father. They left the company to him. He ran it as his father did, until, on his way from a weapons presentation in Afghanistan, his convoy was attacked by Avecorp weapons. He was captured, and implanted with a rudimentary electromagnet to preserve his life, as metal shards were dangerously close to his heart. He rebuilt it to be self-contained, using a Palladium core. Escape was achieved by means of a suit of power armor, what became the Mark I. It didn't last long, but it didn't need to. When he got home, he canceled all weapons contracts, focusing the newly freed funds to help built the Mark II armor. After he found inherent flaws with this, he upgraded to the Mark III armor, powered by the Mark II arc generator. This armor was built with help from Wayne Industries, as were the vehicles that were designed around his armor. More importantly, he had the help of Bruce Wayne, who revealed himself to be Batman. Thus it was that Black Panther was born.

Powers/abilities: His own: He is a mechanical and electronics genius. He can lift about 200lbs, and practices kendo as a hobby.
Suit Strength: His suit is capable of supporting and lifting up to 600 lbs over his head. A combination of arc boosters and hydraulics allow it to jump as much as 6 stories vertically, or several yards horizontally. The suit's strength enhancing capabilities run off capacitors charged by the arc reactor in Thomas' chest. A six-story jump expends these capacitors, as does a pick-up-and-throw of any 600lb object. They then require 30 seconds to recharge. A catch-and-drop of any 600-lb object, or a jump of 3-stories or less requires a 15-second recharge, and so on.
In case Black Panther needs to hold a heavy object for a sustained period, he can execute a joint lock-down. This will allow him to hold it indefinitely with no further energy expenditure, but leaves him completely immobile.
Bullet Proof: Through a combination of kevlar, titanium, and ballistic foam, the suit and wearer become immune to all forms of caseless ammunition, and any explosion of TNT magnitude or less will only leave bruises. The helmet has a built-in gas mask that can filter out almost all chemical and biological agents.
Senses: The suit is designed, through the onboard computer and various devices, to mimic the sensory capabilities of a cat. The gas mask has a sent unit that responds to certain recorded scents. Currently, he has recorded the human fear, rage, and hatred pheremones. The cat-ears are fully mobile, capable of pivoting 180 degrees, with parabolic microphones. This allows him to hear as well as any cat. In areas of high sound pollution, the onboard computer will filter the sounds. The helmet includes a binocular night vision scope that can amplify ambient light up to 20 times.
All this data is organised by the onboard computer into a HUD that will alert Black Panther not only of the scents or sounds, but which direction they come from, as the helmet itself is nearly sound proof when sealed.
The senses, on-board computer, and HUD are powered by a battery pack built into the upper back of the suit, which can support constant use for one week.
Weapons: The suit has built-in dart launchers on the forearms. The right arm carries knock-out darts that last approximately three hours, depending on size and temperament of the target. The left arm carries pain darts. These darts produce perceived pain through nerve induction. There is a level of pain that will actually cause a person's body to overload and die. The pain perceived from these darts is very near to that.
Snare gun and taser: These weapons are self-explanatory. The snare gun fires a weighted net.
Suit Power: Assuming constant jumping, lifting, and throwing, the arc reactor can sustain full suit mobility and keep the electromagnet in Thomas' chest powered for approximately 2 years.
Strengths: He has the assistance of a near-sentient AI on board his suit, and thus can handle situations very quickly. The self-control gained from kendo allows him to start and stop body motions faster than most people. He has to wear glasses, but due to his prescription, they actually improve his vision beyond 20/20. His cat-senses are capable of detecting a trigger-pull and, excepting a feather adjustment, warn him before the gun goes off, giving the appearance of dodging bullets.
Weaknesses: He loves women, and is easily distracted by a nice ass or set of tits, or even a nice face or hair. His suit is very slightly bulky, as no bullet-proof material can be completely skin-tight or completely flexible. As such, it does impede his movement slightly, bringing his kendo reflexes down to average. Also, as almost everything in the suit is electronic, it is very succeptible to EMPs.
