Character General Info
Name: Vixen “Vic” Valentine
Gender: Classy Lady
Birth Date: 1/16/1980
Age:32
Age Looks: Twenty eightish, or that girl at that makeup counter was lying.
Hair: Big and Blonde
Eyes: One Green, one Hazel.
Appearance:
The fine lady Valentine was from the great state of Texas. She would never be caught dead looking like hell, always. Her blonde hair was long, luxurious, and she didn’t believe the myth of a bad hair day. She is medium height at 5’6, but a good pair of boots or heels always put her up a few more inches. Truthfully, she was not exceedingly concerned with make up much. Most of the time she just did the mascara, maybe a little eyeliner, and maybe a tiny bit of eye shadow. For a date she tended to up the anty on the eye shadow a bit.
Mizz Valentine prefers to work in dark wranglers, a cream colored blouse, custom made brown cowboy boots with intricate design, matching duster, and a matching Stetson or Bandero hat. She wears this basic outfit on a daily basis just with different color palettes to play with. To a funeral she would probably wear the same thing, but every bit of it would be black. She has ten Stetsons, Five Bandero hats, ten dusters, and probably a dozen pairs of boots. She also has four gun holsters on her person. One on each hip, visible to anyone who crosses her, housing her dear twin gold plated .44 magnums. In the holsters under each arm, just below her armpits, are her titanium plated .45 Megastars.
She also has a knife holstered in her left boot, always. It's mostly for cutting through obstacles. The reason she carries the very visible .44 Magnums all western movie style is most people would think its ridiculous someone would need more than one .44 Magnum. Her mother always called her brother a Police Man and Vic a Police Machine.
And on a hot date… well you’ll just have to wait to hear about that, sug.
Personality:
Valentine can be a stern detective, but she’s got her bright side. Her bright side is so bright it could blind someone. She’s not often seen without a smile when she’s got one of her darling firearms in one or both of her hands. She loves her work gratuitously and is very good at it.
She is very professional, but she’s the kind of detective that will bring two dozen donuts to work or treat her fellow detectives to a round after shift. She is a very generous person and is a warm friend. Getting on her bad side is never safe. She looks danger dead in the eye and shoots it in the kneecap for giving her a nasty look. She does not tolerate slackers, scoundrels, or murdering nut jobs. Before her stint with the Texas Rangers, back in Houston her family was dubbed the “Four Star Generals” in the media after busting a crime ring. Ah, family bonding.
Family: Investigator Waylon Valentine, father, former Texas Ranger. Agent Doris Valentine, mother, former FBI Agent. Lt. Darren Valentine, brother (two years younger), Head of Houston Police Homicide.
Background:
Vic was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Her father, since she could remember had been a Texas Ranger and her mother an FBI Agent. With parents of such caliber it was hard not to end up in the detective business. Both she and her brother aspired to be police officers and more if the tides of fate would wash them on the right shores, or the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Houston is no hunky dory town either, it was and still is one of the largest cities in the United States and a major port city in the heart of the oil industry.
After graduating high school she joined the Houston Police academy and acquired a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Law. She did not wish to be an attorney, but she figured learning their nasty little tricks and loopholes would help her in processing their clients. She educated herself throughout her service on the Houston police force, taking classes early in the morning and late at night to further her knowledge. She and her brother rose up through the ranks, side by side, and both were given detectives badges together and assigned as partners, noted for how well they worked together.
After a year working in Major Crimes a particular case she and her brother, Darren, took on captured the attention of the Texas Rangers. Vic and Darren were assigned to a case involving a few prostitutes. It took some time but the siblings gathered enough information to launch a raid on a human trafficking ring, a kind of evil Vic and her brother just couldn’t take. Through the course of that investigation their parents became concerned as they were both distinctly disturbed by the information they were receiving. When presenting their case to their chief, the chief refused to even try to get them the proper warrants, deeming it overkill over some prostitutes. At that moment they both left his office and the next twenty four hours would forever change each of their lives.
Upset and angry they informed their parents. Their parents, being who they learned their sense of duty from, agreed it was a bunch of BULLSHIT. So, with their parents, they launched a personal assault, splitting up into two teams they assaulted and wrangled up ten of the major human trafficking crime lords of Houston. In a show of, well, ‘screw you yankee sons of bitches’, they dropped all the perps off. The stunt would soon catch up with the family the next morning. They were each arrested and booked until the Texas Rangers and the FBI came down the Houston Police Chief’s throat. In interrogations it turned out that the police chief himself had a hand in the ring of human traffickers. The FBI thanked them, as they had been working on this themselves alongside the Rangers. Both Vic and Darren were offered jobs with the Texas Rangers and the FBI, Vic opted to stay in Texas with the Rangers while her brother was undecided. After an internal investigation and resignation of several important figures among the Houston Police Department, Vic was offered to head the homicide unit and took the job, as Homicide was the unit he had wanted to be on for some time.
So, for the last five years Vic has been running allover her home state with the Texas Rangers, investigating various crimes, handling intel, dealing with the drug cartels on the Mexico-US border, and even a little counter-terrorism here and there. She received a letter about two months ago from Commissioner Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department asking her to consider working as a Major Crimes Unit Detective in Gotham. He admitted the pay and perks of the Rangers was probably better than what he offered, but noted that a city like Gotham was in particular need of an officer of her caliber.
Her brother by far took after their mother in preferring subtly and lesser risk tactics while Vic and their father were more bootstraps and boom sticks.
Character Info
Vic strives to be an outstanding officer and force of nature. Everything she does she does in the name of justice. She and her family are close. Upon hearing that she was going to take the job in Gotham, her mother, father, and brother, instead of weeping or trying to convince her to stay in Texas, they each gave her a bullet from their guns (they all had twin gold plated .44 Magnums) kissed them, and offered them to her. It was a weird but sweet tradition they had. They did this with the intention that she would save their three bullets to drive deep into the hearts of wicked souls who only worked to further the evil of the already heartbreaking world they lived in.
As far as general hobbies go she has a deep love for her car. She drives a 1957 Ford Fairlane Convertible with retractable, automated hard convertible top. She has customized it greatly. In the trunk she has a custom made oak case that carries an illegal 14inch barreled twelve gauge shotgun, AK 47, Dragunov SVD Sniper rifle, and a hand mortar because… why not?
Her Fairlane is also customized with bulletproof glass, custom made rims that look like stars. After arriving Gotham she had it repainted from it’s purple with metallic gold racing stripes to a brilliant candy blue, still keeping the gold racing straps. On the end of the hood, near the grill massive Texas Longhorn cattle horns are mounted, spanning nearly the whole width of the car. Instead of police lights mounted on the top, because she has a convertible top, her lights are along the edges of her racing stripes, blending in with the edges. She also has a bull horn mounted just behind the cattle horns with the microphone for it located just above her police radio. If anyone knew how to police the streets in style, it was Vic. On the back and front bumpers where four stars matching the paint color of the racing stripes.
Vic loves her some Texas Fiddle music. She actually has a surprisingly eclectic taste in music. As she was growing up she took an interest in music and can play piano, stand-up bass, electric bass, and some decent fiddle, but she prefers the bass instruments most. She's played in a few small groups, just for fun, or messing around in a studio. She always keeps a keyboard next to her desk, just to have keys to dab on and think at. Back in Houston she had a piano in the corner next to her desk. She was always a good one to keep the morale up, too.
Code Name: Detective Vic Valentine
Enemy Code Name: None.
Powers/abilities:
Vic goes to great lengths to keep herself fit. She is very well suited to chase anyone on foot, she also has learned Parkour to pursue a criminal through an urban environment more easily. Generally, she likes to always have gun on her, but if she has to tango, she has to tango. Her hand to hand skills are excellent as is her marksmanship. She has been trained to disarm and arm novice to advanced bombs. She has an iron will and has continued pursuit even with broken limbs and bullet wounds.
Her detective work can be meticulous and so her patience can be a bit uncanny, but if she can’t do something one way, she will find another. Also, being a police officer in such a sweet ride takes work. She is very well trained and safe driver for her line of work.
Strengths:
Problem Solving, Heavy Weapons, Explosives, Hand to Hand Combat, Urban Pursuit, Evasive Driving, Pursuit Driving, Stunt Driving
Weaknesses:
She has an occasional problem with interrogating. When she worked with her brother they would go back and forth with the good cop bad cop routine, she likes to be the good cop better than bad. Other weaknesses include standard weaknesses any non-superhuman would have. She tends to get emotionally attached to more disturbing cases so sometimes the job can get to her if she lets it. A good partner will hopefully keep her from going off the deep end.
Naturally, her style of going about the job can gain her fast enemies. She has a bounty on her head among some really nasty folk. She is also very vocal about how she feels, speaking that way in Texas is one thing, but it could maybe get her into some trouble in Gotham. A few years ago, right after the Four Star General incident, she was asked by a reporter what she would do if she were asked to hunt down 'super criminals' that the other viglantes were chasing down.
Her Answer:
"You want an honest answer from this lone star shaped heart? Now you ain't gonna be askin' me 'bout how I'mma get it done, sug, you don't need to know. I'd just get it done real mean. The problem is that no one asked me to deal with it yet. You know why we ain't got too many supercriminals in Texas? 'Cause the Valentine clan takin' care y'all sho nice folk. MMM mmm mmm, I love the smell of justice and Texas, sug."

Sample RP:
Ivo took a sweet and a few crackers loading them with the sheep's cheese and a slice of roma tomato on top. She ate one of her crackers and took a few drinks of her mead.
"You know that you're never intruding on me." she said just before taking another drag of her cigarette. She took a moment of thought before looking to him once again. She picked up her mead and took a drink and then stared at the glass in thought after setting it back down.
"Alex, I know it sounds strange, but I feel like since the death of Voldemort I've been intensely bored. And not just bored, but I feel like I have nothing to work at anymore. I still, of course, fulfill my duties as Headmistress, but I just don't know anymore."
Ivo thought in silence for a few more seconds. She finished her mead and poured another all the while smoking. She finally opted to leave the cigarette in the the corner of her mouth as Alex had done. She looked up to him again.
"Though, this business with the Ministry is drawing my intentions and attention quite a bit. I don't think it is right, and I know Durmstrang is being treated like a red-headed stepchild, however I feel that I have enough influence and pull, at this point, with the rest of the wizarding world to be a major name in this fight."
Ivo took the cigarette back between the index and middle finger of her left hand as she took another drink with her right.
