It was a warm night out. The streets were littered with people walking around in shorts and tee shirts. Robin however is sitting on top of a building over looking them all. The wind is cooler up here high enough to not hear the pointless talking but he did notice was a pack of young women. "Not bad looking" Robin said as he watched them exit a club. " Master Drake shouldn't you be watching for trouble not the ladies?" a voice said in his ear.
"Right sorry Alfred " Robin said as he looked back to the club to see one of the women turn down an ally and a gentleman followed her. " Why is it always an ally" he said as he stood up and broke into a run. As he neared the ledge he placed his foot on it and leaped onto the next roof.
He landed on his feet but then did a forward roll and stopped just short of the far ledge. He peeked over to see the man holding a gun to the poor lady. Robin pulled his hood up and reached under his cape and pulled out a robin-a-rang.
With a flick of his wrist he launched his robin-a-rang and smacked the gun out of the mans hand, then Robin leaped off the roof down into the ally and with a crash he landed on the man. " Are you ok?" he said as he looked back to the lady.

This was a rare occasion. Abigail was dressed as a female should. For once she did not wear her normal charmless cloth, that made her look dull. She was wearing a black dress, that went to the mid of her thighs, sleeveless and with a little cropped jacket over. She had also been stuffed in a pair of high heels, which she only barely managed to stay up right in. To make things more uncomfortable for her, her hair was let out, and she was wearing make-up. And despite that she hated it, it made her look more than just the average kind of good. She was very beautiful, and she was probably the only one who couldn’t see it But it was all for the mission, at the moment that she could get to her normal wear, she would hide away under a way under a large hoodie and pants.
The mission she was on, was to catch the serial rapist and murder that had been terrorizing the nightlife in Gotham Downtown. As the only available female in the department, she had been forced to dress up in this uncomfortable manner, and visit the nightclub where their main suspect, spend his nights. And she had, and had left as plan, with the other policemen assigned to this assignment to this mission in her ear.
Of course everything had not gone as planned, and the guy that had followed her, had not been the main suspect. This one also had a gun, and had not alarmed the police when he walked after her. So now she was being threatened by some guy with a gun, and sadly she didn’t have her own with her. To her luck someone was apparently coming to her rescue. Some guy dressed rather oddly jumped down on the guy, after having disarmed him. She was rather surprised that someone was doing something that daring. Of course Gotham had some people trying to play heroes, but since Batman most of them had been killed by Gotham’s great villains.
She covered herself a little more up with the tiny jacket, and smiled weakly. ”Yes thank you…” she answered quietly. ”Uhm who are you?”

Robin quickly tied up the man he just knocked out, kicking the gun away from them both. After he was done he removed his hood in order to get a better look at the woman. " Really? You never heard of me?" He asked moving his cape in a way that his red and dark green costume was fully visible. "Names Robin I'll be your hero this evening" He said with a small smile and chuckle.
A soft voice rang in his ear. He forgot that he was still in contact with the cave. he could hear Oracle talking at him. "Men why can't they..."
Robin quickly moved his hand by his ear and removed his ear piece. After a small chuckle he moved it to his utility belt. He noticed she was wasn't to sure what just happened so he thought he should explain. "This man has been targeting helpless women for weeks your lucky I was in the area, I sent a call the GDP they will be he soon to take care of him." Robin took a few steps toward the woman.
" Do you need me to stay with you or do you think you can catch up to your friends?"

Abigail just stood there and tried to make sense of the situation. This was the first time that she had ever actually seen one of Gotham’s heroes, well at least one that clearly thought that he was Gotham’s hero. The was also the first time that someone had come to her rescue, so all in all she was a little surprised to be standing in this position.
A faint smile showed again and shook her head. She really had no idea of who he was, and she hadn’t thought that she should have. Well of course the rather narcissistic move, with the cape dramatically pushed away would suggest that he was used to be seen, and loved it. He liked the attention and the thrill of helping others… Shame on you Ann-Beth… He just helped you, he is not the bad guy, get yourself together… she thought to herself. ”Well thank you Robin” she replied and tried to find out what to do with herself. Luckily Robin made it possible for her to not just stand there and look like an idiot.
”I know, we have been hunting him the last couple of months… And I think that they would turn up sooner than you think…” sure enough the light and sirens short after broke whatever silence there was in the little ally. ”He is all yours guys, I am going home…” she said, before pulling the ear piece out, and looked at Robin again. ”The name is Abigail Fairweather from Gotham Police Department, and I think you should better explain yourself and your knowledge to me…” she said as she started to walk out of the ally. It was only a poor excuse to have someone to accompany her on her way home. Frankly she had had enough incidents on her way home, for the next couples of moths. It seemed like a good idea to have someone with her.

Robin's eyes widened he certainly didn't expect that as a response. He didn't really know what to say or do when she started instructing the officers on what to do. It wasn't long before she wanted to know how he knew everything. As she started walking away Robin quickly reached into his belt and pulled out his ear piece then placed it in his ear.
As soon as he did the voice on the other end was still talking.
" Robin! Are you still there don't you dare ignore me!" Oracle yelled into his ear. Robin wrenched in pain as she kept yelling at him. "Oracle you could have told me she was a cop ya know" he whispered as he continued to watch Abigail walk away.
"Well I did but nether you didn't hear me or you removed your communicator again" Oracle retorted. " Look I need a favor, I have to take ms.Fairweather home and my bike is back at the cave...so..." He said trailing off as he couldn't keep his eyes off Abigail for very long.
Their was silence for a moment then a sharp "Fine" rang in his ear. Robing quickly made his way to her and pulled something out from behind his cape.
"Well Officer Fairweather my ride is just about here if you need a lift home" He said as he lifted his arm and shot a grappling hook onto a near by roof top. He looked at her once and smiled holding out his arm. "I promise to tell you everything you want to know"

Despite it being a warm night, Abigail found it rather cold. It was probably what she was wearing that made it feel that way. She was practically dressed in nothing. The youth disagreed with her, and it was here she couldn’t understand the world anymore. Next time someone suggested that she had to be forced down into this kind of cloth, she would have to protest more.
She stopped walking and looked at Robin, at a sudden faint fear was to find in her eyes. An insecurity that made her doubt Robin, but in an instant it was all hidden away, when an amused smiled crossed her face. This was just like reading an old hero cartoon, where the hero swung or flew across the night sky with the girl. She would have found it charming, if not that the fact that he was a man frightened her. But he didn’t know that, and neither was he surpposed to.
She scanned him with her eyes, before she stepped closer, and took his hand. ”A ride home would be good…” she said quietly and tried not to point out how cliché this was. But it was kind of sweet in some way. But no matter how sweet it was, she was still freaked out by him. ”And don’t worry, I won’t interrogate you”

In a rush both Robin flew onto the roof holding on tightly to Abigail's hand. When they landed he took a few seconds to make sure she was ok. " Hope the landing wasn't to ruff" he said as he slowly let go of her hand. He took a few steps, looked around the sky and looked back at Abigail. " We looked over into the attacks, Batman would have been here but he is away at the moment, so i took over this stakeout." He said as he continued looking out over the buildings.
A voice rang out in his ear. " We sent a copy of our files to the GPD, it'll be on her desk in the morning" Robin nodded and looked back at Abigail. " All the files we collected on him will be on your desk, by the way you not scared of heights are you?"
As he finished a loud roaring sound rang out and the Batwing lowered and hovered behind Robin.

She was a little wobbly after the landing, but that was due to the lack of balance she had in the high heels. For a girl used to flat shoes, these were quiet the challenge. But she got a hold of herself, and managed not to tip over. ”No it was quiet alright…” she replies, and looked around. It had been a while since she had seen Gotham from a higher point. Now when she was here, she started to miss the view, sadly she barely had the time for running around on roof tops.
She looked back at Robin when he spoke, and smiled a little at his words. ”Batman have been gone for a while, and I don’t think that he is coming back…” her voice had somewhat of a sad tone, but it didn’t really seem to bother her. Well she didn’t really believe in the magic of heroes, and it had its reasons. Not that she didn’t want the help when needed and offered, she just didn’t expect that some masked guy from the sky would turn up and help her.
”Thank you, hopefully you have more on the guy than we do… And no, not at all… Why?” She asked, but soon got the answer to her question. She grinned a chuckled, but not because she found it ridiculous, but more because it seemed implausible. For her these things only happened in movies.
