Over the past few days, news reports had revealed many gruesome attacks against many high level criminals and mafia within Gotham. one of the lower families in the cities, the DiMorays announced they were shutting down business completely, and surrendered to GCPD in exchange for protection. Commissioner Gordon had left no official comments about the attacks. He wished he had some answers himself.
Tonight, he was perched upon a gargoyle at the Gotham Cathedrial listening and watching. At times he stayed in one place almost daring old associates to appear and challenge him. He scowled to himself fairly certain his town had been abandoned. The cave had certainly gone unused. The voices came to the front of his mind.
"You know what they say, don't expect people to do a job you can't do yourself. They scattered when you vanished. We have free reign, Batsy. Think you can clean up this town now? Do ya?"
"I have to."
"You're alone....so....so alone. Better give up now before Gordon finds your trail, and believe me you're leaving quite the trail of blood now.
"I'll cover this town in blood if I have to."
Laughter echoed in his head.
"Ooooh... I like the sound of that!"
He half smirked at the support and continued to wait a while longer.

Stormy would, like clockwork, bound by on a rooftop below. She leapt from one to the next, moving like freight train. She zipped from one rooftop to another. Eventually she disappeared upon one that appeared to be on an old and forgotten building. The roof was covered in shrubbery and growth as if it had once been a rooftop garden.
A few things moved here and there, but it looked as though she was going to stay there, whatever it was.

He descended like a black shadow, blending into the darkness appearing and vanishing from one shadow to the next in a seemingly unnatural way. He watched her movements closely and when he surmised she was staying put he approached the solitary garden.
A voice in his head seemed to be scrutinizing over the young woman. "She takes good care of her babies. Lush and green and blooming. So fragrant, and alive in this den of man's stone monuments."
Gotham could care less about the greenery, and to put a small test to Stormy he reached out and plucked a solitary flower from one of her plants much to the disapproval of Poison Ivy in his head. He remained in the shadows however as he observed quietly.

Stormy turned at the sound of a leaf snapping. Her green eyes glowing from within the shadows nearby.
"You. What do you want today? If you try to throw me off this roof I'll return the favor.
Stormy emerged from shadow and stood at her full height. Her costume looked the same as before, but fresh, clean. No blood stains in it from previous run in.

He wasn't sure if the faint sound or an awareness to her plants alerted her. Slightly frowning at the inconclusive test he emerged from the shadows his red eyes considering her quietly a moment before speaking.
"Come on! We're wasting time here! Just say what you want and be done with it!" The chuckling voice instructed.
Gotham however wasn't sure she would help. "Just a moment, we're flipping the coin."
He could hear the ping of the silver, and the result reported to him in his head.
"I'm going to destroy Arkham Asylum, and I need your help. I have also studied your DNA, and will only answer your questions with your assistance."
He stood patiently waiting for her answer.

Stormy raised a high brow at the idea of blowing up Arkham. She stood at her full height, all 5'3" of it. She was tiny next to a guy like him. She folded her arms and leaned on her left foot which was back from her right a bit.
"Blow up Arkham? And kill all the pieces of crap? Normally I'd say blowing stuff up is a bad idea, but Arkham should probably sink anyway. Though, from what little I know about that Batman character, if he were to pop up he would probably not be pleased.
Stormy turned away and paced for a moment in thought. She finally turned to the guy with an inquisitive look.
"I'll only help you with getting in and what not. You're on your own with the explosives. I'll also help get you back out if need be."

He stepped closer and narrowed his eyes. He knew Arkham inside and out blindfolded. Access he needed no help with. he needed muscle should things get a bit crazy...er.
"I need back up once I'm in. Getting in will not be an issue for me. Fighting guards and possibly inmates while I'm in when trying to plant explosives...that poses a problem."
He held up a USB Drive and laid it down upon a nearby table top.
"This is a fraction of the information from your blood sample. If you want more, you'll help me....and I may help you with something high on your list in return."
He fired his grapple gun and lifted into the darkness of the city.
"Luthor. Think about it."
Then he was gone vanishing into the shadowed arms of his namesake.

The events at the Batcave haunted her. Selina had but a few constants in her life, and it seemed that that list got even shorter. Despite everything that she discovered in that one encounter, the image that haunted her the most, was staring down a barrel of a gun. She had stared down many a barrel in her time and it barely phased her, but seeing him holding them, prepared to shoot...well it was a tell tale sign that something was terribly, TERRIBLY wrong. She wouldn't flatter herself to think that she could somehow snap him from whatever is tormenting or affecting him. The best she could do is stop him from something he might latter regret, as he had done so many times for her in the past. She owed him that much.
The wounds she received were patched up enough to deal with. She was no where near 100% but she couldn't worry about that at the moment. She's operated with injuries before, it was nothing new.
Life was much easier when all she worried about was the next score. It was more fun too.
She's dealt with a lot of screwed up things in her life. Lots. What she experienced in that cave definitely ranked high on the craziest list. She is a survivor, always has been and always will be. She knows how to take care of herself. But even SHE had to admit that this was too big for her to handle on her own. But who could she go to?
The list of people that trusted her was low to begin with, and with reason, let's be honest. And it wasn't like she could go to the other vigilantes. They'd get emotionally involved, like she did, and it would only work in his favor. No. She needed someone who was going into it not knowing...someone who is aiding because they want to stop a "bad guy".
Bad guy. She couldn't help but laugh at herself for equating "bad guy" with...him. But this time...it was true. He was his own black and white version of the bad guy. She'd have to bring that up next time he begins to lecture her. If he doesn't kill her and everyone in Arkham before then.
It was clear she needed someone who was strong, someone she could temporarily deal with, someone she'd trust...enough. Again, that list was very short as well, however her new acquaintance continued to pop up in her mind. This genetically altered super heroine with the DNA of two of the most dangerous of Gotham's rogue gallery...with the nature of her powers and the fact that she's assisted Selina before...AND the fact that Bru...Gotham...had bullied her before...she was the perfect candidate.
The problem was finding her. What Selina would tell her when she did find her, she figured would come to her when the time came.
Selina wrapped her wounds with fresh bandages, hopefully they wouldn't hinder her too much. She then slipped on her "work" attire and with a quick pat on her cat's head she slipped to her window and out onto the rooftops.
She doubted that she would find her in the East End, and headed straight for downtown. She had to keep her eyes peeled....
She had been on the lookout for longer than she would have liked. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack...she knew that. To top it off, she had several small incidents to distract her and unfortunately for those "incidents" she was in a much more feral mood than usual. She could feel that she had aggravated her wounds and after the last brawl, made her way up to a higher advantage to take a breather.
It was then that she noticed the girl off in the distance on an adjacent rooftop. Perfect. Great. And surrounded by plants. How...fitting. The girl's attention seemed to be in the opposite direction, she hadn't noticed Gotham's previous departure. It perhaps would not be the best thing to sneak up on her...especially surrounded by plants.
The trip over to the roof was painful, but she powered through...as she always does. As her boots hit the ground she made herself known.
"I sure hope you don't have any giant Venus Fly Traps around here. They never make for a good time."

Stormy held the USB drive in her hand and had been movign to get to a computer inside the enclosed part of the garden. It was fashioned with a ed and everything.
She turned at the sound of someone else after he left and stood alert until she saw who it was. She smirked to her a bit in relief.
"No venus fly traps."
She then closed her hist around the usb drive as she folded her arms.
"He just asked me to help him blow Arkham sky high. I am unsure of this action."

Well, this was certainly interesting.
"Gotham was here? He asked you to help him?" she let out a slightly amused laugh."Well, aren't you popular. You see, I was coming to make you an offer in exchange for your assistance in stopping him. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see many of those inside Arkham go up in smoke...but, you see...Gotham...Gotham is crazier than all of them right now. I've discovered his lair...I saw his plans...I saw YOU...I fought him and trust me he's..."
Don't say bats, Selina...don't say bats..
"...completely off his rocker. I can pretty much guarantee that he's just as, if not more, dangerous as all of those loons put together."
Quite literally....

He crouched above the garden and used a bug he had planted there to listen in. He had seen Selina in the corner of his eye as he left. He knew what she was going to try to do, and that was ruin his plan. He sneered at the thought of the possibilities of that.
"We should go kill her now, sir. I know an excellent cat stew..."
"No."
"C'mon Batsy! She's a threat to our plans! It won't take much with all that glass. Just a well placed grenade tossed down there and slicey dicey. You don't even have to get your hands dirty!"
He growled and shut his eyes yelling loudly... "I said NO!"
"Why are you doing this?"
His eyes flew open. Who was this? It was new but familiar, deeper sounding....
"W...What?"
"I said, why are you doing this?"
"Ohhhhh great! Who let him out!! Was it you? No...it was you......I always knew you had a thing for him Isley."
BLAM!
Gotham screamed the gunshot exploded in his head causing a vision to flash. A rainy night, a dark alley, a gun, and... BLAM!
"Ivy's down but what's THIS?! He's not dying! You're not dying!"
"Because i'm supposed to be here, you maniac!"
The sounds of a battle begun in his head and gunfire causing him to loose his balance and land hard on the ledge about 20 feet below. He laid there holding his head screaming.
"Stop! STOP FIGHTING!!!!"
He opened his eyes realizing who the new voice was and grit his teeth slowly standing up looking to the garden. He clenched his fists and fired his grapple heading back to his hideout.
"No..don't stop. Even if it kills you, don't stop fighting." and so it continued. A battle only he could hear. He could hear that laughter in his head the one that had been taunting him. It was there, but now.......it was afraid.

It was hard to predict his actions all the time when he was sane...insane Bruce was even harder to predict. The insane usually are, based on their particular insanity.
The scream turned her attention to his direction and shortly after there he was. Writhing on the floor, holding his head and screaming. This was getting ridiculous. She couldn't stand this. It angered her. She'd had enough.
"See...crazy." She said towards Stormy before heading after Gotham without hesitation.
If she had to beat the voices out of his head...she would.
He had always challenged her, on many levels, both as Bruce Wayne and Batman. She always arose to the occasion. It was a dance that went on for years. She couldn't ever really explain it, but on some level they seemed to understand each other...and that was a rare comfort in her life. She'd repaid his "kindness" in various ways throughout the years, some pleasant, most not so much. His endearing faith in her puzzled her, frustrated her and piqued her curiosity.
As much as she'd hate to admit it, she relied on that. If he wasn't himself, that was one less important relationship in her life and selfishly she couldn't let that happen.
She followed him at a quick speed, powering through the injuries that continued to sting. Whatever mental battle was going on in his head, it would surely effect his abilities in combat.
Her goal certainly was not to kill or maim, but to incapacitate. It wouldn't be easy, but right now, it seemed the best course of action...if she could catch up with him...

Stormy watched the whole thing unfold. She thought she smelled him lingering somewhere. She did not go after him with Catwoman. She had no desire to deal with him anymore tonight. She was holding the flash drive he gave her.
She nodded to Catwoman.
"Very crazy."
As they took off she watched them for a few minutes and eventually went into the green house of the garden to get to her computer and plug in the flash drive he handed to her.

The drive would contain only partial information of reports, nothing directly from Luthor's desk, but it was obviously classified info he had found within Lexcorps' data banks.. Any questions she would have would be half answered in a way to simply raise more questions. He had given her just enough to wet her appetite for for of what he knew. He dangled the proverbial golden carrot before her, proving he knew far more than what she and the GCPD had found.
