The lounge was filled with sounds and smells of the club, the base pumped around in his head, the smell of sweat and alcohol raced through his nose. And there he sat in a fine shirt and that black tie, looking like he owns the whole world, and in a matter he does, no one dare to touch him. Not here anyway. The club was one of his many meeting points; this particular lounge was his private thanks to a favor from the owner of this hellhole of a club. He did not like the place when he came to think of it, it was too noisy for his taste, no one could hear what one said in here, but then again, the women made up for that. His steel eyes danced over to the lady who had just entered the lounge with a drink in her hand.
He could see that she was very uncomfortable with the situation, >>That jerk Matt must have told her who I am<< he thought to himself, >> And now we wait<<. He had set up a meeting with a client, one of those with real power in this city, city? No, Gotham was no longer a city it was a battlefield of those thugs and newcomers who think they can just jump in and claim a place of the ruins for themselves, but he knew better, and he knew his place. The one place where no one would really love to see him dead, and where no one really would like to be. His safe house, as an information’s broker of Gotham, his niche if one uses those words. His hand closed around the glass the girl had left before she hurried out of the room. >>Surely Matt is going to give her a little “extra” now<< he giggled inside himself. And looked up in surprise as the girl had stopped in the door with a girlie scream. She started to sidestep and in doing so she revealed a man, slender and tall in a purple tuxedo and a smile no one forgets.
“Ah, Welcome.” He said with a smile on his lips, clapping the suitcase to his right, “Let’s do business shall we, eh Knave?”

The Joker grinned as he entered the club, Bud and Lou at his sides. The club's stench rushed out to meet him, not even making his nose wrinkle. The bass pounded immediately in his head and ears as the smell of sweat, alcohol and other less easily identifiable things filled his nostrils. To anyone in the club, it was obvious where the Joker was moving since everyone in the club moved out of his way, like a shark spreading the waters. Bud and Lou chuckled and giggled as hyenas does when communicating with their alfa, snapping their jaws at anyone close by. The Joker had a clear target, a lounge in the back of the club, away from prying ears and eyes.
A poor waitress came in his way as she exited the lounge. As she saw him, a girly, half scream, half gasp, half cry escaped her. The Joker leaned forward, whispering so only she could hear it, "Boo" She then sidestepped, revealing the other half of this meeting. The Jokers grin didn't dim as he walked in and sat down opposite the man in front of him, Bud and Lou, the quite large hyenas the Joker owned and kept as pets sitting down on the ground on both sides of the Joker. The Joker looked the man straight in the eyes, a low, dark chuckle escaping him as he shook his head. "First of all, let that Knave thing go, if you have to address me by that name, use the right part, The Ace!" As he finished the sentence he made a wide gesture with his arms, Bud and Lou giggling from the floor.
"But enough about that, we are here to talk business after all, aren't we lad?" the Jokers smiled widened. "You claim you had informations I would be interested in, informations not available anywhere else.." A dramatic pause followed before the Joker continued. "...SO..let me hear what those.."interesting informations" are about..and what I am suppose to give for them."

"Indeed?" a playful smile danced over his lips, as he already knew this meeting would be interesting. Only once before had he been in the same room as the Joker, and immediately as the Clown entered the room he felt just the same as he did then. The sound of his own pulse quicken, his mouth feeling dry, his breathing difficult and his adrenaline pumping. Though it was not a bad feeling, it was fantastic, everything he lived for was happening already. He blamed it on what he knew of the Joker; an agent of Chaos some had called him, a spark of insanity within the system others had claimed, but it was all the same. The Knave didn’t care about anything, and that insane man was brilliant, a genius. All those battles with the Dark Knight showed that very clearly, never once did the Bat catch the Hound of Madness. And now that very genius was sitting in front of him with two hyeanas at each side of the seat. That very seat that was wired with explosives if anything should go very bad. Just in case business would go bad. “But yes I did claim to know something you don’t.” as he spoke he almost tasted on his words, careful not to say anything that would lit the fuse on the already ticking bomb in front of him. “This information I have is regarding who stole from your “bank”, my good man” As he spoke he quickly called to mind the amount of values the Joker was robbed for. “As I understand it, ye must be quite upset about something like that went missing” a grim smile started to appear upon his lips as he leaned forward with his heart ever beating in his throat. “And by, what could you call them, newbie’s, fledglings even” The grim smile upon his face grew bigger, as he could feel his instincts telling him that he should not continue talking to this madman, this crazy one. But he urged himself to continue, to keep the words flowing and keep putting images into the disturbed mind of the one sitting in front of him. But the pleasure of playing with a fire that threatens to burnout the whole of Gotham, was bigger than the self-preservation instinct within him. So he took up his glass, tasted on the crappy drink as he gave the King of Fools time to take the words in. “Of what you have to pay, I shall leave it up to you to decide what this information is worth.” Once again he leaned back with a mix of relief and pleasure.

The Clown Prince of crime nodded slowly, his smile never dimming as the man in front of him explained about the information he could offer the Joker. As Unknown as he was called finished his little speech, the Joker chuckled. "Well.."upset" is not really the word, mildly annoyed would be more exact.." A dark cackle escaped the Joker before he continued. "but yes..I have already made sure the idiots taking care of guarding my..possessions..lets just say they'll do a good job at guarding the local marine life, boring as a grouper they ware the lot of them!" A hysterical laugher erupted from the Joker as he threw his head back in laughter, Bud and Lou following his example, "laughing" as well.
When the fit of laughter died down, most people in the club had moved to the opposite end or left altogether. The Joker grinned, looking at Unknown with a smirk. "Well..regarding a price..let me tell you something son.." The Joker leaned closer. "I know something you don't know as well..and if you play your cards right, this meeting won't be the grand finale of the lonely broker" A disturbingly gleeful, yet vile cackle creped from the Joker as he held Unknowns gaze with his own.

What was it with this... man was not even the word, the thing in front of him was more a beast than a man. That big smile it possessed, so unnatural and happy all the time, even when he told the Clown the news he had just let out. But the tone in the voice was clear as the smell of sweat and alcohol in his nose, the Clown was clearly upset about it, and as the stories about the mad prince went, he had made sure that it wouldn’t happen again by making some clear examples of those responsible for the disappearing of the values the mad-man had possessed until recently.
As the sounds of people dancing and drinking was slowly getting lower and lower as people clearly had decided that it would be best to bogie while they were still able. And he wasn’t surprised, if he was one of them he would have left the place a long time age, but that was possibly because he knew so much already. The man with no name was clearly not moved one bit by the laughter that escaped the thoughts of the tree beings in front of him.
As the Joker explained the price of the information, he had a hard time to conceal his amusement, that Bird from hell clearly had no idea of how much he knew for himself, but he had a hard time to figure out if the Ace of Hearts was bluffing or if he actuary knew something."Well, that didn't give me much of a price, now did it my good esquire of madness" His left hand reached stealthy for the remote to the seat within his pocket.

"Indeed it didn't lad, because money won't be a problem. So here is what we'll do..I tell you what I know, and pay you thirty thousand dollars for the info." The Joker chuckled as he leaned back in his seat, placing his arms behind his head. After a minute or so, when the lad had understood his offer, the Joker spoke again. "I think it's time uncle Joker told a little story.." He chuckled for some reason before beginning.
"Once upon a time, a young broker wanted to have a meeting with a mad and evil wizard. He had found a most wonderful club, an the exact lounge. In order to make sure that he was safe from the wizard, who had already cheated death many times I might add, he decided to get the wizards chair rigged to explode with the push of a button and thus it was done. What the broker hadn't foreseen, and didn't know, was that it was the wizards people that came and rigged the chair, but not only that, the Brokers own chair was rigged as well, so was the whole club, all ready to go out with a boom at the push of a button!" A maniacal cascade of laughter escaped the Joker, his body shaking as he laughed, his two hideous pets "Laughing" with him.
The Joker suddenly cut off his laugh as he looked at the man known as Unknown, a dead serious expression on his face. "and the lesson of that story is, don't play with explosives unless you want to go out with a bang!" The Joker then started to laugh once more, the vile, manic grin on his face widening. when the laughter had stopped once more, the Joker spoke in a conversing tone, almost sugar sweet. "So what do you say? You get the money, I get to know where the little thieves as well as my..belongings are?"

A satisfied smile played across his lips as the Mirthful Menace proposed the deal. A measured nod was given over the table by him as his smile grew bigger, the amount of what the Joker was willingly to pay for those specific names and places he knew. Leaning back as he started to calculate what he could accomplish with that amount of cash on his hands. He could. If that Clown held his word, do almost anything he wanted, his taste was in general very cheep, if the thing worked it was good enough for him. Though something’s need to be more, expensive and exotic for him to even care for it.
As the Knave of all that is mad in this world, started to tell his little tale, he leaned back, deep into the comfortable chair. And even as it was revealed that all of Matt's little "Retreat" was wired up to explosives he didn't even frown. Careful not to show any emotions that would leave the Mad Mad Joker in a better position. As cold as his facial expression was, as terrified was he inside, that those two he had entrusted the work to had actually worked for that thing in front of him. All inside of him was horror, how could such a thing slip past him without him ever finding out!?
As he started to speak he was still shaken up by the information he was just given. "W-Well, i will have to say that you my mad man, have yourself a deal. Though i would like to know where and how i shall receive that payment." his left and right hand folded in front of his face, the detonator he had left in his left pocket.

The Joker looked the man in front of him straight in the eyes. What went through Jokers mind was anyones guess, but he seemed satisfied. The broker wanted to know how he would receive and where? The Joker chuckled at this because he had yet another surprise for the poor man. " Well, outside this very building is a van parked. In that van, is the all the money." The Joker handed The broker a set of keys. "And these are the keys to the van."
The Joker then leaned back with a grin. "Now, tell me, where is my stuff and those little gnats who thought it was smart to take my stuff. You can tell me now, since money is no longer a issue, after all" As the Joker spoke, he remembered a younger man, sitting in a van with five older men, all of them armed. "A..are you guys sure of this? After this job, money won't be a issue any longer?" One of the older men grinned, he was called Sharkie due to his pitch-black glass eye. " 'lax knave, nothin' will go wrong, an' this will be the last on', afterwards, we're rich an' can do what we want, money won' be a problem no more" The younger man nodded as he pulled the mask on, nervous, but trusting the older criminals.
The Joker was pulled from the memory, if it had been a memory at all, the whole thing taking less than seconds as he looked at the broker with an expectant expression. Looking forward to get the knowledge he wanted and show those idiots what a bad idea it was to steal from the Joker, and to steal his little Harley's birthday present none the less, that was just asking to get murdered horrifically. And the Joker would to gladly give them what they were asking for a hundred fold even.

As he slowly digested the info he had been given by the mad man. He reached for the suitcase to his right and put it on his lap. This very suitcase had two different purposes, the first was to be a monitor which showed a dry-dock where the thieves had chosen to hide with their prize, clearly frustrated by the locks on the box they had robbed from the Joker. The other function was to blow up in the hand of anyone but the man with no name, if they tried to open it. With his right hand he pushed his index finger onto a fingerprint scanner, a short click and the suitcase popped open and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips. Inside the caste was the monitor and it showed a crystal clear image of the figures who boxed with the box. The camera one of his most trusted men had put up to overview the situation. The dry-dock had been out of commission for some time now hence the stupid robbers had used it as a hide out while they tried to open the lock and find out what secrets the king of madness hid in such a box. “I think I will show ye where these people are. But might I ask, good sire of Chaos, how can I know ye be telling me the truth about my money, I do know there is a van parked outside, but as of it’s cargo, I cannot know whether or not you are playing a scam on me.” He looked straight into those orbs that was the eyes of madness in front of him with no expression of how excited he was for this whole evening.
