"It's Gotham City, and Batman is missing." He glanced at her. "I don't know what she's doing outside the strip club, but Batman didn't depart without training a successor."

"In a nutshell." He walked a few paces to one side, and Zephyr shimmered into view. He climbed into the pilot's seat, looking down at them. "Even Gotham has its calm nights, it seems." The cockpit base rose into the fuselage, and the craft took off. There was a business card laying on the ground next to Spitfire. It gave Thomas Avery's contact information, as CEO of AvCorp. If either of them wished, apparently Mr. Avery knew more about this dark figure.
