It was night, the skies nearly blocked away the light of the moon. The wind blew harshly through the few oak trees in the park. The wind was strong as if a really strong man kept pushing you in one direction.
Animal sat in one of the oak trees, swaying back and forth because of the wind, waiting, listening. He bowed his head and closed his eyes... listened to the surroundings, trying to focus if someone or something was moving, but he could only hear the trees screaming along with the wind.
after a few minutes of listening, he sighed... a sigh of relief. no one was there or atleast not what he could hear of.
''Maybe i can meditate without getting distracted this time'' he said quietly to himself, drawing a little smile on his lips while saying it.
he sad down quietly on one of the huge branches, sticking out from the old oak. Started to focus, lately there had been too many things bothering him, he had to clear his mind and get a hold on his situation... questions that he wanted answered, riddles that had to be puzzled, answers that had to be given... after the dissappearance of ''The Dark Knight'' everything had slowly turned into an uncontrolled chaos. more people was getting killed, not that he did mind that at all, but things could easy get out of control and then the whole city would end up being destroyed. just the thought made chills down his back, this was his territory, his park... or his and Sam's park, they were always here having fun...
Suddenly a noise came up, breaking his thoughts. someone talked. another person was nearby. Animal quickly stood up on his feet and activated the Thermal vision in his helmet... Scouting out in the area. First hand there was nothing, but then he spotted three persons over at the statue of the mayor... he had to get closer to take a better look.
He held his breath for a few seconds, before jumping down from the oak. he had to be silent. slowly moving towards them he drew three throwing knifes... one for each of them, if they should be unfriendly. He kept scouting the surroundings for other heat signals, but he couldn't spot any. he was now within range to hear them, see their actions and within range to kill them with his knives.
''The Police is so much gonna hate us dudes, just wait till they see this'' one of them said.
''Can't we like paint something across that jackass' face, he is soooo ugly'' another one said.
Kids... Approximately 16 years of age... they are no targets, only painting the mayors head with some spray cans. Animal knelt down... then he just sat there... watching them as they continued painting the mayors statue, waiting for them to leave or do something that would give him a reason to slice them up

a pair of heavy feet started to walk towards the kids if this was just a person that person had to be seriously over weight.
Skull looked at them and sighed as he silently bickered inside his mind, "yet another pair of punk's who didn't know the first thing about justice, law, order, or how much this guy was trying to improve their lives."
He started walking towards them again waiting for the first one to lift his can, for when he did, he would loose it. He didn't wanna hurt them, just scare the shit out of them maybe even stop them from doing something like this another time.
as he approached a bush he loosened his west and hid it inside the bush, don't want anyone pointing at me with my own guns. he walked into the light lifted his knife and as soon as the first kid lifted his spray can, Skull threw the knife, and as it planted itself in the can orange paint started to spray out turning the knife from black/dark green, into a Orange color revealing the complexity of the army knife. "are you done playing?!" he shouted.

Terrified the kid threw the spray can away from him, and stumbled backwards into the bushes. The two others looked over at the big guy standing in the light from the park lamp.
Animal looked over where the new voice had come from. ''A huge muscular guy, probably a marine or just a common soldier with no head'' thought Animal to himself... he slowly looked back at the kids again untill he got to think of what he saw. ''wait no head!?'' his voice boomed inside his head, thinking ''what the fuck?''. he double checked if it really could be true the big guy didn't have a head.
The big guy didnt really have a head. being really confused and disoriented Animal turned off the thermal vision to really check if it was true. ''phew... he had a head'' the big guy was wearing a mask or helmet that had covered him from the thermal heatsignals so it looked like he didn't have a head.
''Y-y-y-yes... we ar-are done playing no-now'' mumbled one of the other guys as he looked scared at the muscular guy. he pattet the other one on the chest and they ran away from the statue leaving the last one of them behind and leaving all their spraycans and their gear.
Animal looked at the kid lying just infront of him... animal crawled over to the boy and grapped the kids shoulders and hammered him to the ground. at the same second Animal activated the red lights in his mask giving him what looks like red glowing eyes and revealing the mouth-design on the mask.
The kid was terrified. this creature was pinning him down and looking him directly into the eyes. Animal could sense his fear and started laughing a little bit, still having his focus and grasp on the boy.
''Give this to the guy standing in the light, and i'll let you go, ok?'' Animal had meanwhile drawn a cellphone out from one of his pockets in his belt and put it in the boys hands. ''and dont mention anything about me, just deliver it and get the hell out of here'' said he with a very dominant and commanding voice. the boy was scared to pieces, he could pass out any moment because of the terror.
Animal let go of the boy and turned off the eyes again and started crawling slowly away again. after he had made a little distance to the boy and the ''big guy'' he started sprinting back towards his oak, where he had been hiding in the start.
From there he could see the ''big guy''

Skull looked at the kids as they ran off passing through the lights of the lightpoles, he sighed because they reminded him when he was about their age, and as he turned around and started walking back to his gear he thought to him self "i did a lot of bad stuff back then if only i could make them understand"
he took long strong step away from the statue towards his gear and by the time the kid got back to the statue he was in the dark, but it didn't take long before he had his gear on and walked back towards the statue.
then he stopped and thought "whats this? the kid came back, why would he do that?, i have to be careful"
he then started to walk towards the kid again, as he approached the kid he asked him "you looking for me" he then continued and walked by the kid and pulled his knife out of the can, and turned back towards the kid and look right at him "well spit it out kid, before i leave"

''I-i-i-i-i-i was asked to give you this, and if i didn't give it to you im dead, so please take it'' said the kid. he was crying, stumbling, terrified of something that had just happened...
Animal looked at the ''big guy'' and the kid. Animal chose to send a small text to the cellphone so the kid wouldnt just run away.
''Give this cellphone to the big guy or bad things might happen.''
Animal could see that after the kid had read the message the color of his face disappeared, he started shaking all over his body and deep inside his body was begging for another chance and that the ''Big Guy'' just would accept this weird things cellphone, what it was for knew he not, but he couldn't keep it, The Big Guy had to get it no matter what. he didn't want to die.
''Please just take it...'' begged the boy while the tears was spurring out from his eyes, he slowly reached his hands out towards the ''big guy'' holding the cellphone in his hands... ''TAKE IT!!!!'' the kid shouted viciously... fearing that he might never see his family and friends again.

in the same second as the kid reached out towards Skull, Skull reacted grabbing his arm and hammered him towards statue head first, holding his arm in a position so it could be easily broken.
"never do that..."
he then let go, as he realized, that it was wrong of him to hurt the kid, he was only acting out of fear, no one should be punished for that...
he took the phone and gave the boy the knife which had been colored by the spray can, only this time the knife was sheathed.
"now piss off... and remember you never met me"
he looked at the phone, he then opened it up and started to look for any tracking devices inside, and if they were there he would peal them out as he walked away.

The kid ran off, Animal saw it all from the oak, laughing a bit for himself... the moment of terror, he loved it. he loved to see the fear in people's eyes, it makes him feel superior... making him feel as a predator that have cornered his prey.
but the real prey was at his reach... the ''Big Guy'' had taken the phone from the kid... here was his chance... he needed to figure wether or not this guy was a friend or foe, and he needed all the informations he could get... but how should he do it...
A strong wind just passed by his head... pushing him a little forward... ''I have to do this... This is a sign...'' Animal thought to himself. ''This guy... there's something about him that makes me... not worried...''
Animal looked at his own phone, he quickly pressed a couple of buttons, finding the number to the cellphone that the big guy had recieved. then he pressed the ''call'' button and put the cellphone up to his ear, waiting for the big guy to answer his call...

the phone rang in Skull's hand he looked at it, he was just about to pull out the battery to see if anything had been placed behind there. but then it rang, and from an unknown caller, fantastic...
he pressed the green button and took the microphone pice up to his mouth "call again in one hour on the dot" he then hung up and pulled out the battery to see if anything was behind there, before he started to walk away into the shadows.

Animal got a little excited, because he was about to talk with a complete stranger, that fascinated him a little... the phone was picked up were after he heard a deep voice saying: ''call again in one hour on the dot'' and then the big guy just hand up. Animal didnt quite understand what just happened, he had expected that they would have a nice conversation where he would have the upper hand, then this bastard just hangs up on him and tells him to call him back later.
Animal was a bit confused wandering what to do now. He took his binoculars to see if he could spot the big again because he was obviously gone again, but no, the big guy was gone...
''One hour on the dot he said'' animal said to himself. he took his cellphone up from his pocket and looked at the watch. it was 01:58 on his cellphone. he checked his past calls to see when the call was made and it was made 1 minute ago. He set an alarm to go off at exactly 02:56 so he was ready to call at the exact moment.
''What the fuck should i be doing now?...'' he sighed... it was all that happened this night was those kids showing up and that big guy who obviously is very rude by just hanging up on people.
''Maybe i should go home and clean up a little...'' he thought to himself... after using 5 minutes of thinking he made it clear it would be the best to start cleaning up all the mess in his apartment, he had no jobs lately anyway, so he could just make his home look presentable to visitors... just in case he would actually have visitors beside his dog Sam.
After 2 minutes walk he was finally home and safe, Sam was sleeping quietly in his bed, but as soon as Animal dropped some of his gear on the floor he quickly woke up and headed to welcome his master. Animal patted his old friend a couple of times and said ''can you go find my headset sam?'' he asked his dog. Sam then headed into bedroom. Animal chose he would start off with the kitchen. it was the most smelly of them. 2 minutes after Sam came walking into the kitchen with the headset in his mouth, Animal kneeled down and took the headset and gave Sam a treat for being a good dog. He connected the headset to his cellphone and put his cellphone on the kitchen table so he could watch it while cleaning.
After a while, the cellphone alarm went on, starting to make annoying noices. Animal grabbed the cellphone once more, found the number for the cellphone he had handed over to the big guy, and then just waited till the clock landed on 02:57... it was a very long minute for Animal because he was a little excited about it, but also a bit worried and pissed because, what if the big guy would just hang up again, that would be very rude and very annoying.
02:57, Animal pressed the green button on the phone and put the phone up to his ear and waited once again for the big guy to pick up the call.

skull had used the whole our to get away, and in a hurry too, cause how could he trust this weirdo who seemed to have a liking to seem dominant and scary.
as Skull walked, he looked at his watch "hmmm 6 minutes left" he thought to him self, he looked around, "i should get to higher ground" he then walked to the nearest ladder, and crawled up into the roof of the small building. after that he attached a headset to the phone and reinserted the battery.
he waited for a little while, and then it rang. he sighed, "moment of truth" he thought to himself as he picked up, only giving one word to the man on the other end "talk".

Animal listened to the beeps in the speakers as he waited for the big guy to answer. The beeps were suddenly interrupted and a voice appeared. Animal had expected the voice to say a little more, but he was obviously the strict and direct type of person. Well this didn’t cause much trouble for animal, now he could get faster to the point and skip all the formalities.
''You trespassed into my territory'' animal was both excited to talk with this guy, he wanted to know how this guy actually managed to get that close to him without his danger sense tingling. Well it didn’t matter. First off he needed to figure out who this person was. Animal put on the headset again so he had free mobility with his hands, and still be able to talk with this guy, and then he walked over to his laptop and opened it. A few seconds had passed and Animal finally continued. ''now... I wanna know why you saved those kids'' Animal said coldly while typing some data into the laptop while waiting for an answer from the other end of the call.

Skull laughed "bullshit, and i didn't save any kids. now get to the point" skull said with a deep and aggravated voice. it seemed as though some punk, had decided on a park as his territory, and now was trying to intimidate him, and that was the case, this kid wasn't getting far. but first there was the matter of determining whether or not this person is what he seemed.

Animal took this coldly. He expected that this guy didn’t listen to anyone. It pissed Animal a little that he didn’t take this seriously and just thought it was a joke. ''well, you made them run away so I wasn't able to kill them'' Animals’ voice was cold and he made sure not to involve any of his feelings. Animal entered the database and encoded the encryption code for the cell phone this ''brute'' was wielding. It would take some time for animal to receive the coordinates for where this brute currently was. Animal thought it might be best if he let the tracker be online so he always knew where he was, if he of course chose to keep the cellphone, and hopefully animal could persuade him to keep it.
''Now tell me Mr. Brute... what were you doing in the park?'' Animal tried to lure the name out from this guy without directly asking, hopefully he would tell his name or at least just a codename so Animal could get some more information on who this person is.

skull laughed inside and answered " you couldn't catch three teenagers, im not buying it, your far too intelligent to just let them get by you. but as for my reason for being there, well for now, thats for me to know and you to find out. but im curios, why the hell would you want to hunt kids?"
Skull's tactic was working, the hunter at the other end, was asking the question, which meant that so far, Skull was more or less in control of the information going back and forth.

Animal received the coordinates on the computer. He was still in Gotham, which was good news for Animal. ''Well, Mr. Brute, you really aren’t that stupid after all. I don’t care about those kids, I just wanted them out of my park, as I told you, and I consider it my territory.'' Animal started locating the coordinates in the database and tried to figure out where he was. He clicked on the logo showing a Satellite, he needed the latest footage from the area and if Animal was lucky there would be a satellite in the area he could use.
''but of course I am not to judge a book by its cover, but I assume you actually are a smart guy, which leads me to the question'' He stopped for a brief second. The coordinates from the laptop was being shown on a map so that Animal could see where he was. ''Why would you even bother lying to me, saying that you are still in the park when I can clearly see that you are standing on top of the apartment building between 67th High Row Avenue and 23rd Baker street?'' To Animals’ luck and advantage, there was a satellite nearby and he was streaming on live from the satellite camera down to the chosen coordinates.
